With the lectio magistralis by Jeremy Rifkin, the 3rd edition of ITN-Infrastructure, Telematics & Navigation opened on November 16th at the Oval (Lingotto Fiere). This year ITN is co-located with the 4th edition of TOSM-Torino Software and Systems Meeting.

ThusiIn 2011 Turin will is the ideal venue for discussing current and future developments in smart infrastructures, smart grids, GPS, Galileo, GIS, telematics and navigation services during the three-day event featuring informational conferences, networking programs and highly specialized seminars.

In 2011 ITN has grown even stronger, thanks to its co-location with TOSM - Turin Software and Systems Meeting , the key point of reference in Italy for the promotion of businesses producing ICT Management Applications. 


 

An Exclusive Group of Partners!

Organized by GL events Italia with the endorsement of the Piedmont Region, the partnership of the Turin Chamber of Commerce and the scientific support of Torino Wireless, “ITN Infrastructure, Telematics & Navigation” is the first-ever event dedicated to smart infrastructures, infomobility and navigation systems. Created with the aim of establishing a bridge between industry professionals, institutions and technology providers, it is also a meeting point for industry researchers, experts and professionals.

In 2011 ITN will offer three days of informational conferences and workshops, a networking program and highly specialized seminars, complemented by a large and rich exhibiting area.
This year the event will shed light on the key issues, trends and challenges that are affecting the Italian and European markets.
Visitors will also have a one-of-a-kind opportunity to analyze tools, services and solutions for satellite navigation and smart infrastructures provided by both leading and emerging vendors, as the event will host companies from across the full industry spectrum.

POSMETRANS PROJECT: FINAL CONFERENCE 
POlicy measures for innovation in TRANSport sector with special focus on Small and Medium sized Enterprises

POSMETRANS is a Coordination and Support Action funded by the European Commission within the scope of the Seventh Framework Programme (FP7), with the  objective to promote sustainable surface transport by providing policy support for innovative technologies and processes in transport.
On the basis of an international network consisting of six partners from five different countries, POSMETRANS explored the efficiency of European policy measures for innovation in the transport sector with special focus on Small - and Medium sized Enterprises (SMEs).
The project pursued two main goals:
- Providing a frame for the impact assessment and evaluation of EU measures aiming at innovation;
- Elaborating recommendations for future policy measures in order to accelerate the market take-up of innovative technologies and processes in surface transport.
