With the lectio magistralis by Jeremy Rifkin, the 3rd edition of ITN-Infrastructure, Telematics & Navigation opened on November 16th at the Oval (Lingotto Fiere). This year ITN is co-located with the 4th edition of TOSM-Torino Software and Systems Meeting.

POSMETRANS PROJECT: FINAL CONFERENCE POlicy measures for innovation in TRANSport sector with special focus on Small and Medium sized Enterprises
POSMETRANS is a Coordination and Support Action funded by the European Commission within the scope of the Seventh Framework Programme (FP7), with the objective to promote sustainable surface transport by providing policy support for innovative technologies and processes in transport. On the basis of an international network consisting of six partners from five different countries, POSMETRANS explored the efficiency of European policy measures for innovation in the transport sector with special focus on Small - and Medium sized Enterprises (SMEs). The project pursued two main goals: - Providing a frame for the impact assessment and evaluation of EU measures aiming at innovation; - Elaborating recommendations for future policy measures in order to accelerate the market take-up of innovative technologies and processes in surface transport.
